AoE offense, AoE healing, AoE condition removal, and especially Ally Summoning skills will make the battles much easier. Stay focused on the current mission objective it is very easy to get distracted and overwhelmed in pointless combat with easily outpaced foes. Poisoned is very common here and waves of slow moving Risen respawn constantly, first outside the fort and later inside the fort.
